A big thank you to all our volunteers, from the people you help.
Just like the people they help, our volunteers come from many backgrounds and speak many languages. During National Volunteer Week we want to say just one thing to all our volunteers - Thank you!
Like the people who they help, our volunteers come from a range of different backgrounds. They bring to our organisation a wealth of skill and expertise, and a willingness to give up their time to assist in delivering our services to those who need them most.
During this National Volunteer Week, on behalf of Red Cross and the hundreds of thousands of people they help, we would like to say 'thank you' to our volunteers for their unwavering commitment to:
- providing drug and alcohol education to young people
- preparing communities for natural disasters
- transporting ill or injured people to their medical appointments
- providing personal support to the community during emergencies
- serving nutritious breakfasts to kids who might otherwise go without
- making friendly daily calls to the isolated and elderly
...and so much more.
