Delivered Meals Volunteer

Volunteers are needed to deliver meals to frail, aged and disabled people in their own homes, assisting them to maintain their independence.

The Delivered Meals service aims to support individuals to maintain independence in their own homes for as long as possible.

The Delivered Meals Volunteer provides nutritious meals to those who, because of advanced age, ill health or disability, are unable to prepare their own meals. The Delivered Meals Volunteer also provides the opportunity for social contact and interaction for those who are socially isolated during the course of the meal delivery.

Our Delivered Meals Volunteers have a friendly and empathetic attitude and are able to communicate well with a broad range of people. They demonstrate respect and sensitivity to clients within the program. Delivered Meals volunteers must have a current driver's licence and their own reliable vehicle.
