This CPR first aid course will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant following cardiac arrest. Content is based on Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines.
**Please note it is a requirement of this course that practical demonstration of CPR must be performed on the floor.**
4 hours in the classroom OR
1 hour practical in the classroom with prior online learning
There are no prerequisites for this first aid course.
You can choose to complete the theory component of this course through our online learning portal. Once completed, students must attend a one-day practical assessment session to complete the full qualification.

The recommended industry standard to maintain current competency is for this course to be refreshed every 12 months..
Students will be assessed through the demonstration of practical skills, participation in role plays, analysis of case studies and a written quiz.
On successful completion, you will be issued with the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
