Red Cross operate new and recycled clothing shops throughout Tasmania. These retail outlets are staffed by local volunteers. Every purchase or donation at a Red Cross shop supports services such as The Good Start Breakfast Club which provides a nutritious breakfast to children who may otherwise go hungry.
Enthusiastic volunteers are needed to join the retail team. Meet new people, learn new skills and help your community. No experience is necessary as all training is provided.
Volunteers are currently needed in the following shops: Burnie, Glenorchy, Kings Meadows, Hobart, Kingston and Devonport.

Donating quality recycled goods
Red Cross gratefully accepts donations of clean, quality clothing, accessories and books in it's retail shops and donation bins. Red Cross is not able to accept donations in kind for international appeals because goods that are needed can be purchased locally or in the region, enabling every dollar donated can go much further. The cost of transporting goods from Australia is very high, so Australians are strongly urged to make monetary donations.
